You’ll be prompted to add your email address only if your address is not already in your Address Book.Ĭomments : You won’t be able to invite or email guests to Google Calendar events within iCal if your address is not in your Address Book.

I'd get rid of google's caldav feature if I could, but right now I'm dependent on it so I just click the error windows every 5 minutes or so. Using google calendar was a recent change in the setup because I wanted others in my group to be able to edit the calendars, however since then, I've had to deal with these incessant errors. I have 20 calendars from about a dozen different collaborators as well as my own set of over 26 subscribed and published calendars of my own going through MobileMe and. I'm glad you're not getting the errors, but perhaps you're not utilizing the same combo of features or testing the limits via complicated recursions or whatever - noone knows what's causing it. However, I get these incessant, seemingly meaningless errors, as do many others.

I too can enter a calendar appointment on any of the 4 machines and it shows up on the other 3 automatically.

I too sync google calendars in the same way with 4 machines, an Intel Mac Pro running 10.5.8, an Intel macBook running 10.5.8, a G4 PowerMac running 10.5.8, and an Intel Mac Mini running 10.5.8. I'm sure someone out there has a more elegant solution, but at least this works for now.

and be sure your password is in there - add it if not. You will see your calendars being updated, and when it's done, you should see the Caldav account.

On an older system (such as 10.5.8), create the manual Caldav account in iCal and verify it is working. The prudent person would make sure she or he has a current backup of their calendars before proceeding. The solution is very primitive, but it works. I also tried trashing my keychain, still no joy. I tried some things, including re-applying the 10.6.3 combo installer, but it didn't work. The iCal server logs indicate a successful login, but the iCal client reports "your username and password were rejected by the server." However, when connecting to a manually-entered URL, such as, the connection fails. Snow Leopard iCal connects just fine to an Open Directory-based Caldav server, such as the one found in server 10.5.8. In case I'm not the only one, here is the problem and solution. I wasn't able to find anything online about this, so maybe this is only my problem, but it affects two of my Macs.
